MAFC Kites vs Ebbsfleet — 1–0 Win

We knew this would be a tough test going into the weekend. Having played Ebbsfleet a few weeks back, we had a point to prove. They’re a strong side who move the ball well, so it was all about full commitment and sticking to the plan.

From the first whistle, it was a battle. Every ball contested, high intensity throughout. Ebbsfleet play quick, passing football, and our defence had to deal with a real physical presence up top. The midfield matched their tempo, pressed well, and made it difficult for them to settle.

We matched their aggression and, more importantly, maintained our level for the full game. The pressure was constant, but we stayed composed and didn’t let it take over. Everyone put in a massive shift and followed instructions to the letter.

A great win against a quality side. Really proud of the lads.

After the game, I was approached by a scout from Arsenal who had come down to watch. He was impressed and wants to come back again. Just shows you never know who’s watching. That level of confidence and aggression is what we need to bring every week.

Back to training as usual, and ready to go again this weekend.
