Kestrels Dominate Top-of-the-Table Clash with Emphatic 5-1 Victory Over Chineham Tigers!

Already crowned league champions, the Kestrels knew that another victory tonight would ensure the race between Chineham and Eversley would go right down to the final weekend — and the lads produced another outstanding display to make it happen.

Kestrels started the game brilliantly and were in full control from the first whistle, moving the ball confidently and playing some excellent football during the opening 20 minutes. Their dominance quickly showed on the scoreboard as they took the lead and never looked back.

As the first half progressed, the game became scrappier as we began to play into the opposition’s hands slightly and took our foot off the gas. A small lapse in concentration allowed a battling Chineham attacker to grab a scrappy goal, but the Kestrels still remained firmly on top and went into halftime with a deserved 3–1 advantage.

The second half was a real professional performance from the lads. They came out focused, organised, and determined to finish the job properly, extending their lead with two more well‑taken goals. Defensively, the team looked solid throughout and never really allowed Chineham another way back into the game.

A superb 5–1 victory away from home against second place, another three points, and another statement performance from this excellent Kestrels side. The lads showed quality, confidence, and maturity throughout to secure a solid result.
